Leslie Mackinnon
Principal / Team Lead
Combining her unique experience and rich local insight, Leslie MacKinnon has propelled her way to success in Boston’s real estate market, leading her to be one of Dorchester’s top sales agents year after year. With an education in design and the firsthand knowledge of someone who has not only lived in Dorchester for the past 15 years, but someone who knows the whole Boston region inside and out, Leslie takes the stress and confusion of house buying, and replaces it with ease and joy.
Having grown up on the South Shore, Leslie fell in love with the area early, surrounded by boats and the beach. After studying at Massachusetts College of Art and teaching in Japan, she returned to Boston and began work in the world of magazines, eventually finding a place at New England Home & Garden. Here her personal passions met their professional match as she dove into the world of New England architecture and home design, and the interest-only continued to grow. When a friend opened her own brokerage and encouraged Leslie to get her license, she jumped at the opportunity and hasn’t looked back since.
As Leslie’s real estate portfolio grew, her expertise, as well as her reputation as a comforting, knowledgeable, and extremely attentive presence also strengthened, making her a perfect agent to join with Compass in 2018. Over the past five years, she has closed over $36 million in sales with 70 transactions and amassed a strong network of professionals to help with every step of the real estate process, making it as seamless as possible. Following her own success with Compass, Leslie expanded her own team with two additional agents as well, leading to even greater growth together.
Living in the same neighborhood that she settled in over 15 years ago, Leslie and her husband are raising their two children (and two fur babies), surrounded by a vibrant community that continues to enthuse and excite them. When not meeting with clients or working on a project in her own home, Leslie can be found in her happy place: surrounded by friends and family, sitting by her fire pit, drinks in hand.
